DHA Karachi Signs MOU with Sir Nick Faldo for Pro Standard Signature Golf Course

DHA Karachi has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sir Nick Faldo, the legendary multiple championship-winning golfer and founder-owner of Faldo Design, for the construction of a pro-standard signature golf course in DHA City Karachi Sector 16. The MOU was signed at a grand ceremony held at the DHA Country and Golf Club on the 29th of April, 2023.

Sir Nick Faldo visited the site of the upcoming golf course earlier that day, where he was given an overview of the location, which has been finalized for the construction of the pro-standard signature golf course by DHA Karachi – The Fairwinds. The site is set to be one of the most sought-after golf destinations in the region and will be designed to meet international standards.

Speaking at the ceremony, Sir Nick Faldo expressed his excitement about the project and praised the vision of DHA Karachi for creating such a world-class facility. He said, “I am delighted to be working with DHA Karachi on this project. The site for the golf course is truly breathtaking, and we will be working hard to create a golfing experience that is both challenging and enjoyable for golfers of all levels.”

The pro-standard signature golf course is expected to be completed within the next two years and will be open to both members and non-members. The course will feature 18 holes, multiple water features, and a state-of-the-art clubhouse. It will also be designed to be environmentally friendly and sustainable, with minimal impact on the surrounding landscape.

The MOU signing ceremony was attended by a large number of golf enthusiasts, DHA officials, and other dignitaries. The ceremony was marked by a colorful display of fireworks and a musical performance by a local band.
